Oldenburg Infantry Officers Pickelhaube
Very attractive rare regiment helmet.
Oldenburg 91st Infantry Regiment Officer Model 1897. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded brass metal trim. Helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. Exterior lacquer excellent. Interior has sweat leather and officers silk headliner in excellent condition. Green and Red lined front and back visors respectively. Both visors with firm stitching.
The frontplate is the Prussian Line Officers Eagle with the silver star and the arms of Oldenburg on the Eagles breast. The Oldenburg Star is mounted to the frontplate with 2 screw attachments. Tall gold Officers Spike with star retainers. Flat gilt chinscales held by gold rosettes. Officers blue and red Oldenburg and Reichs Cockades. 100% original with Excellent provenance. Very attractive rare regiment helmet.
