Prussian "Eingethums Helm" for Kürassier with Case & Field Cover
A "must have" for Kürassier collector.
Prussian Kürassier Pickelhaube for Fähnriche and Fahnenjunker of the Line Kurassier Regiments. Circa 1910. As identified in the M. Neumann Katalog (see photos from Katalog - pos.240/241 & pos. 250 & 253) of 1910. Described in the catalog as "Helmet has nickeled body with fine fire gilded trim for Line Regiments in the Officer Form. In IIa quality". This helmet could be upgraded to a full officer helmet.
Nickeled Steel kurassier officer style helmet body with round visor. Nickeling remains 100% with no stains or other damage (rare by itself). A couple of tiny dings that can be seen in the multiple pictures. All trim is gilded brass. Helmet has excellent form. Inside helmet liner is the "DienstHelm" type for officers in fine beige leather with cut-of tabs. Inside front visor is lined in thin green leather (some minor damage to leather). Back visor lined in beige leather with age stains.
No extra holes in helmet body. Frontplate is an officer model Line Prussian eagle (un-pierced crown). Plate is a perfect fit for this helmet! Football shaped spike base as used by EM helmets with tall nickeled spike. Chinscales are large type M94 on side lugs. Kurassier enlisted style cockades for M94. Helmet is 100% original and has never been polished. Liner shows genuine use but no damage.
The helmet comes in its original carrying case for Kürassiers (Tall case with top room for Visor cap). It also came with its original and rare Field Cover of the officers model with the "DRP" (Deutsches Reichs Pattent) marks underneath front visor. This is a seldom seen ensemble. It conforms in every detail to the specific helmet used by the Fahnriche and Fahnenjunker troopers of the Line Kurassier Regiments. A "must have" helmet for a collector of kurassier helmets.
