Wartime model - Rare Cockade
Black lacquered fiber helmet body that is in excellent shape with no crazing. Inside shell in lined with black "Filz", typical for wartime productions. A small repair - crease or tear- towards the right top part of the helmet hardly be seen (pictured). Firm stitching to both visors. Inside the helmet has the later wartime sweat band lining with beige silk. The front of the silk liner as come of the swaetband, otherwise about mint condition.
Beautiful fire gilt trim on wartime tin metal. Fire gilting about 80% intact but show some age wear. Prussian Heraldic eagle as frontplate in gilt brass (not wartime metal) that is mounte dto helmet with nuts and screw. No extra holes, plate is a perfect fit!. Round Spike base with 4 Gilt Stars. Tall smooth spike that shows a time repair. Gilt flat chinscales maintained by rosettes. Officers Reichs Cockade and the Rare Lübeck (Red maltese cross over white) Officers cockade. A unique helmet that is guaranteed 100% original to period.
The field cover came also with this helmet and is teh standard Officers type with the DRP (Deutsches Reichs Patent) Stamp.
