Absolute Mint condition

Prussian "Old Pattern" Grenadier Regiments- 2, 3,5, 6,10,11 or 12 (regiments variedmin adoption ofnthe newn pattern frontplate beginning 1911 until 1913) -Officer Model 1897. Beautiful and absolutely MINT condition helmet from a distinguished US collection. Black lacquered leather helmet body with perfect fire gilded metal trim. The helmet body in MINT condition with firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. The helmet interior has a full officers calfskin and soft green silk liner.

The liner is large sized and in near mint condition. The Frontplate is the Old Pattern Prussian Grenadier Line Eagle with the Monogram FWR on the Eagle's breast. The frontplate is the Officers type with pierced crown and held to helmet by two screws/nuts. Officers round spike base with perlring and maintained by 4 gilt stars. The spike is removable spike. Gilded flat chinscales maintained by rosettes over the Reichs and State Cockades will complete this helmet. This helmet is guaranteed 100% to period. A beautifull and Rare helmet.
