Prussian Garde Landwehr Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian Guard Landwehr Officer from the 3rd and 5th Guard Regiments, Guard Fusilier Regiment, Guard Eisenbahn Regiment, or the Guard Pioneer Battalion – Model 1871. From the Rich Ames collection. Black lacquered leather helmet body with silver metal trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. The exterior lacquer in excellent condition. No extra holes in the helmet body.

The helmet interior has older style flat tabbed leather liner which is in near mint condition. Inner visors red and green as proper with officer helmets. Silver fittings in excellent condition. The frontplate is the frosted silver Prussian Guard Eagle without banner. In the middle of the eagle’s breast is a silver star with a large gold Prussian Landwehr cross in the center. Round spike base with gold star retainers. Flat gold chinscales on silver rosettes. This model only has the Prussian Officer cockade. Outstanding and beautiful silver Guard helmet. Near mint helmet.
