Hanseatic City of Lubeck - Customs Administrative Officer - ensemble -circa 1900. The cities of Lubeck, Hamburg, Bremen formed an Independent Governed Group called the Hanseatic League. The wealthy and important maritime trading cities each had its own Customs Service. The helmet followed the standard Prussian Beamte pattern of helmet. Fine custom made officer style black lacquered leather helmet body with fine gilded brass trim. Interior has sweat leather and silk headliner in mint condition.

The frontplate is the eagle crest of Lubeck. Spike base is fluted on which is the tall “tulip and ball” ornament of the Customs Officer. The spike is held to the helmet with star retainers. Fire gilded flat chinscales on rosettes. A single white cockade with a Red Cross for the City of Lubeck. The helmet is accompanied by a cased set of Customs Administrator shoulder boards. Inside the box is the name of "Vader". Every element of this grouping is in MINT and virtually unused condition. Beautiful and Impressive Imperial Era ensemble.

Epaulets - in their original box with protective brown paper. Dark Green fields with Piping. Typical Customs admistrative half moons for officers all gilt frosted. In the center the Lübeck double headed eagle and one "pip" for 1st Lieutnant in silver. Underlay in Red with no mothing.
