Bavarian Infantry Enlisted Model 1895 Pickelhaube - Aptiert

Model 1895 - Aptiert (re-issued) from the earlier model 1886. Black leather helmet body in excellent to mint condition with no crazing. The body has been Arsenal re-pluged and re-lacquered from the earlier cross base model 1886. This is a genuine "Kammer re-issue". All Brass trim. Beautiful Bavarian front plate in gilt brass fixed through the original grommets. Re-pluged period and re-lacquered holes. Plate retains both original leather wedges. Back spine in brass with proper ventilation plate.

Firm stitching to front and back visors. Round spike base with smooth enlisted spike. 4 retaining brads. Inside lining dyed black in excellent condition. Some faint and later erased markings in back visor that we cannot make out. Makers stamp from "Hans Römer Neu Ulm". Original chinscales and Cockades. Note that the leather ends on the scales have been added later. Uncleaned and untouched. a nice variant and 100% original.
