Rare and Outstanding Prussian Uhlan - Near Mint!

Prussian 1st, 2nd or 3rd Uhlan Regiments - Reserve Officers Tschapka circa 1900. Recently obtained from an old US collection. Black lacquered leather body with all matching gold metal trim. The helmet has perfect form with all leather mortar board and proper turned down front visor. Visor stitching also in perfect condition. The exterior lacquer is in MINT condition and still has nice sheen. No extra holes in the helmet body. Black leather mortar board is in perfect condition and has proper officer hook for parade cords. 

The helmet interior has sweat leather and beige silk headliner that is in near mint condition with the owner's Initial "G.R" Embroidered in the thin silk lining. The front plate is the fire gilt Prussian "Old Regiments" Officer Eagle without bandeau and the FWR monogram in the center of the eagle's chest. A silver Prussian Landwehr Cross on the eagle's tail. Original rounded gold chinscales and original Reichs officer cockade. The helmet does have the silver bullion with black velvet center field badge. The helmet is presented in the “Service" (Dienst) Form without rabatte or cords. Outstanding and rare service dress reserve officers tschapka.
