Bavarian Model 1916 Enlisted Jäger Shako

Bavarian Shako for Jäger Battalions, Enlisted Man - Model 1916. Black lacquered leather shako with gray metal trim. The helmet body is in very fine condition with good form -unique form for Bavaria that differed from the Prussian type- and firm stitching. The exterior lacquer remains flawless. No extra holes in the helmet body. The helmet interior has standard wartime undyed leather EM style liner.

The frontplate is the standard Bavarian style in gray finish, fixed with the original leather wedges. Leather chinstrap with single Reichs cockade. Shako has the original Cloth field badge with white body and blue center which on itself is a rare occurence. Rare Shako as Bavaria had only two Battalions and one MG unit.
