Prussian Ersatz "Tin" Pickelhaube - Near Mint

Black lacquered metal helmet body of the later "ersatz" type. Made by the "Firma Weissenburger in Stuttgart". Remnant of Makers Name under the front visor. Body in Mint condition with its original lacquer finish. No dents or rust spots on top, some lacquer missing underneath visors. Brass trim with the original M1891 "type" posts just different fixtures to helmet body and specific to this model only. Brass spike also unique to this model with its "fake" rounded brads.

Brass eagle of that has the unique fixture in its center held by a wooden pin. Back spine with no vent holes as proper to this model. Beautiful original tan lining with the ultra rare fabrik "cushion" underneath, Original drawstring unopened. Both original Cockades, and a replacement strap - although very nice. A helmet that remains 100% original to period. Rare Ersatz variant.
