Baden 20th Enlisted Dragoon Pickelhaube

Baden Line Dragoon Pickelhaube - Model 1897. Fine black lacquered leather helmet body with silver metal trim. Helmet body is of the heavier type with great form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is extremely well preserved and excellent to mint condition (see photos). All silver trim (besides the chinscales). The interior has the lack dyed leather headliner. Inside markers marked by "Maury in Mainz".
The front visor is of the typical "dragoon style" with squared trim, back visor show a small touch up mark to the right side underneath. Back visor marked to "1.DR.20" (1st Badischer Dragoner 20) and dated "1915". No extra holes behind frontplate (see photo) as the plate is attached through two grometed holes and show a perfect fit! The fontplate is a silver Baden Griffen with bandeau at the base "Mit Gott F. Fuerst U. Vaterland".
Unique dragoon style silver crossbase/perlring with detachable spike. Four silver brads with screw. Convex brass enlisted chinscales on M1891 Posts. Enlisted style Reich and Officers Baden cockades. All original 20th Dragoner helmet in overall Excellent to near Mint condition. Rare Regimental Helmet.
